Safety is paramount, and first impressions count! Although many building owners concentrate on creating a welcoming atmosphere within their structure, they often overlook the parking lot. Visitors to your institution will feel uneasy and unwelcome if the light fixtures in the parking lot are dim, flickering, or even burned out.

With the help of HTM Lighting Solutions, your parking lot may be updated from its current obsolete and ineffective parking lot lamps. The most efficient way to achieve this is to switch to outdoor LED lighting, which has a ton of advantages including less maintenance, cheaper energy costs, and better light quality!

Very Little Maintenance:

High Intensity Discharge (HID) bulbs, such as Metal Halide (MH) and High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) bulbs, are often used in parking lot lighting. The typical lifespan of these HID bulbs is 15,000 hours, which is very short compared to the LED lights that compete with them. The typical lifetime of an LED is 50,000 hours, although some LED fixtures may last up to 100,000 hours! You would have changed your HID bulbs at least 3-6 times by the time you replaced your LED light, not including those hefty ballast replacements either! Not only will you spend less on labor, but you'll also spend less on products and unplanned expenses like hiring a lift to access the fixtures for repair or electrical maintenance.

Less Expensive Energy:

Your power bill is probably not very tempting since parking lot fixtures use a lot of energy, particularly if outdated equipment is being used. HID lamps typically require between 250 and 400 watts per bulb, whereas their LED counterparts only use roughly 60 to 150 watts per bulb or fixture! As is well known, there has been debate regarding the initial expenses of switching to LED, but these prices have been declining, and most people will see a return on their investment after switching to LED items within two years.

Superior Lighting:

While deciding whether to switch to LED lighting, it's crucial to keep the CRI (Color Rendering Index) in mind. As compared to HID bulbs, which often emit an orange glow and have a lower CRI, LED lights have a higher CRI and emit a more daylight-like glow. In compared to a natural light source, the color and clarity are seen as being more true the higher the CRI. This lighting upgrade will not only make it easier for people to see your building, but it will also make it seem more beautiful and welcoming.
